The course consists of four chapters: Chapter 10 is about polar coordinates, polar curves, and area & Length in polar coordinates. Chapter 12 will be emphasized on 3D coordinate system including Vectors, lines, planes, and special types of surfaces. Chapter 14 is similar to MATH101. However, the focus will be on multi variable functions including but not limited to limits & continuity, partial derivatives, directional derivatives and finding extreme values. Chapter 15 is about double integrals, double integrals in polar coordinates, triple integrals, and triple integrals in cylindrical & spherical coordinates.

Upon completion of the course, you will be able ti 1. Deal with parametric and polar curves and calculate areas, slopes, surface area, arc length for them. 2. Perform vector operations in space and find equations of lines and planes in three dimensional coordinate systems. 3. Know what is multi variable function and how to calculate directional derivatives, partial derivatives ,equations of tangent planes, and gradient vectors 4. Determine the limits and continuity and finding absolute & local extrema of multivariable function. 5. Evaluate double and triple integrals over different coordinate systems.

متطلبات الدورة

The course pre-requisite is MATH102. However, you mostly need to master solving integrations, especially with trig identities, substitution rules (very important), and integration by parts. The second thing needed is the basics of differentiation rules, especially the Chain rule.
